In 1992, Scott was elected Executive Vice President and named Chief Operating Officer of Hickok & Boardman Insurance Group. In 1994, Scott was elected President.
Scott is a graduate of Holy Cross College where he received a B.A. in Economics in 1982. He is a member and past-President of the Vermont Chapter of CPCU, as well as a past-President of the Vermont Insurance Agents Association (VIAA). Carla Boardman Smalling

Carla volunteers with CHAMP (Champlain Adaptive Mounted Program), a non-profit organization providing therapeutic horseback riding for children and adults with a wide range of physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges. She has resided in Essex Junction for the past twenty-nine years. She lives with her husband, Kent, and their two daughters.

In 1987, she was elected as Treasurer. Mary Ann is a current Board Member of CVAIP, and has previously served as CVAIP President, as well as VT State Council Director of IAIP.
